Alex has experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and families since 2014 in a variety of roles, including county social worker, in-home therapist, adolescent day treatment program therapist, and school-based therapist. He sincerely enjoys working with individuals and families from all backgrounds, seeking to empathize and understand while providing a gentle space for meaningful reflection and self-discovery. He also seeks to help clients discover choice and resiliency within the self and in the context of relationships.
Alex’s clinical approach includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a trauma-informed approach, Attachment-Based Family Therapy, experiential approaches to group therapy, and elements of Motivational Interviewing.
Alex is passionate about helping individuals, parents, and families seek self-compassion, hope for change, pathways to resiliency and committed action, and practical approaches for modifying behavior and interpersonal interactions. He incorporates psychoeducational resources with clients to make good use of current psychological research and help discover new pathways to inner peace and outer wellness. Alex has sought to walk alongside youth, families, and adults during their most challenging times in a variety of community, home, legal, and educational settings in order to find hope within the present, growth from the past, and inspiration toward the future.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys performing and recording music, gaming of all kinds, spending quality time with friends and family, tennis, skiing, and connecting with others in community-oriented spaces.
