Kim is a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a master’s degree in Advanced Practice Counseling. She has extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating substance use challenges, behavioral addictions, and co-occurring disorders in both residential and outpatient treatment settings. Kim is also passionate about working with individuals experiencing grief, loss, or other significant life transitions.
With a strong background in education, Kim has worked with students aged five and older, an experience that enriches her clinical work with children and adolescents in the Aris Clinic Intensive Outpatient Day Treatment program. She also provides compassionate support to families and individual adults through outpatient services.
Kim takes a multi-theoretical approach to therapy, partnering with clients to recognize and build upon their unique strengths and talents. She places strong emphasis on the impact of relationships and systems on personal well-being and believes deeply in each person’s inherent worth. Her work is grounded in the belief that with insight, skills, and support, individuals can shape lives that reflect their values and aspirations.
Outside of her professional role, Kim finds joy in spending time in nature with her three dogs, cat, and horse. She also enjoys knitting, gardening, and creating mixed-media art.
