What Happens After a Family Calls

When a family calls Aris Clinic, our team guides them through the first steps and makes the process clear and manageable.

Initial Call & Guidance

Our team answers questions, explains what to expect, and directs families to the required next steps.

Required Paperwork
Families complete intake forms prior to the diagnostic assessment. This information allows our clinical team to prepare and make the most of the evaluation.

Diagnostic Assessment
A licensed clinician completes a comprehensive evaluation to better understand the child’s needs.

Clinical Recommendations
Following the assessment, families receive clear recommendations based on their child’s needs. This may include services at Aris Clinic or referral to a higher level of care or specialized services when appropriate.

Next Steps Into Care
If services are a good fit, our team guides the family through scheduling and getting started.

Ongoing Coordination
With appropriate consent, we communicate with referral providers and support continuity of care.

When IOP May Be Appropriate

IOP is often well-suited for kids and adolescents experiencing:

  • Increased emotional dysregulation
  • Escalating anxiety or depressive symptoms
  • Declining functioning at school or home
  • Safety concerns that do not require inpatient care
  • Limited progress in weekly outpatient therapy
  • Difficulty maintaining gains after a higher level of care
