Amanda is currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Technical Writing from the University of Minnesota, during which she conducted extensive psychiatric research.
Amanda has experience working in a partial hospitalization program, both with adolescents and adults, where she provided evidence-based interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is passionate about helping adolescents learn new skills, form and maintain healthy relationships with peers and family members, and create meaning in their everyday lives. Amanda has a particular interest in incorporating creative endeavors such as art and music in the therapy process.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading and discussing books with friends, baking, going for walks, and discovering new music.
