Emilee is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) at Aris Clinic, where she works with individuals, families, and groups in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) while also providing outpatient therapy. Emilee takes an integrative, individualized approach to therapy, drawing from multiple theories and modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. Her work is grounded in strengths-based, biopsychosocial-spiritual, and trauma-informed perspectives, with an emphasis on incorporating mindfulness and practical coping strategies to foster resilience and mind-body connection. Emilee recognizes individuals as the experts of their own lives and parents as the experts of their children, and considers it an honor to walk alongside clients and families in their journeys toward wellness.
Emilee enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families, helping clients better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop practical skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Therapeutic approaches and frameworks that Emilee frequently incorporates include Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as parenting and behavioral frameworks such as Conscious Discipline and Love and Logic. Her clinical interests include infant and early childhood mental health, neurodivergence, anxiety, grief, the intersection of chronic illness and mental health, and trauma and resilience.
Emilee earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate education, she completed internships in a family supervised visitation program, long-term care facility, preschool day treatment program, and family outpatient clinic. Following completion of her education, Emilee joined Aris Clinic in 2023.
Outside of work, Emilee enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and exploring nature.
